C’è la rappresentazione di uno scambio di ruolo, che vuol dire entrare nella logica dell’altro. Compenetrarsi in modi di vita e attitudini distanti. E’ in questo momento che solo, davanti a quella straordinaria manifestazione, recito l’incantesimo potente:
“… che la pietra entri nel tempo di un bambino a respirare la stagione breve dell’uomo! E che il bimbo entri nel tempo di una pietra per recuperare la memoria dell’universo”

I workshop sono un bellissimo mezzo per avvicinarci a quell’Asia invisibile che non fa notizia, delle tante persone che la vivono con grande dignità e generosità; l’Asia dell’arte di arrangiarsi e del dio delle piccole cose, delle tradizioni e del rinnovamento. Un’occasione per ritrovare uno spazio autentico dentro noi stessi, per mettere a fuoco ciò che realmente siamo e sentiamo, sono gli occhi connessi all’anima che danno luce a ciò che guardiamo, mentre la fotografia diventa il nostro specchio, perché rimane visibile quello che è avvenuto dentro di noi. Come dice Diego Mormorio, nel libro Meditazione e fotografia: “La vista è il cammino. Più di quello che guardiamo, è importante l’esercizio del guardare”. Oltre a fare belle foto e raccontare storie, Mother India School vuole portarvi a raccontare questo mondo con uno sguardo consapevole e un cuore libero. Fotografare è diventare testimoni, silenziosi e coraggiosi. Fiorire e riconoscersi in ciò che siamo. Shobha, vi introdurrà alla meditazione Vipassana nella fotografia.

The workshops are a great way to get closer to invisible Asia, that doesn’t do news, of the many people who live with great dignity and generosity; Asia and the art of the God of Small Things, of traditions and renewal. A chance to find a genuine area within ourselves, to focus on what we really are and feel, are the eyes connected to the soul that give light to what we watch, while photography is our mirror, because what remains visible that took place within us. Says Diego Mormorio, in the book Meditation and photography: “The view is the way. Most of what we watch, it is important to the exercise of the watch. “Besides making great pictures and telling stories, Mother India School – Travelling projects, wants to bring you to tell this world with a look aware and a free heart. Photographing has become witnesses, silent and courageous. Flourish and identify with what we are.

Workshop in Sicily: Shobha every years renews the appointment with her city: Palermo, with the extraordinary presence of her mother the photographer Letizia Battaglia. Shobha and Letizia, photographers well-known for their work on the Mafia and their work in Sicily, will introduce you with passion in a land of great beauty and ruin.
In 2015, there will be workshops with Shobha, around Italy.
